Job Summary:
The Head of Finance will play a key leadership role in managing and overseeing the financial strategy and operations of a growing real estate investment company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, risk management, accounting, reporting, and compliance. As a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, the Head of Finance will drive financial performance, manage investments, and ensure the company's financial health in alignment with its goals in the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
o Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy to support its real estate investment goals.
o Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
o Advise the CEO and senior management on financial performance, investment strategies, and business risks.
o Analyse financial data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
2. Financial Operations & Management:
o Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow management, financial control, and treasury functions.
o Manage the company's accounting, auditing, and financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
o Establish and maintain financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and reporting.
o Ensure that all transactions, including acquisitions, sales, and financing deals, are accurately recorded and reported.
3. Investment Management & Analysis:
o Conduct financial due diligence on property acquisitions, including cash flow projections, return on investment (ROI) analysis, and risk assessments.
o Collaborate with the acquisitions team to evaluate the financial viability of deals and projects.
o Track and report on the performance of the real estate investment portfolio, including asset valuations and profitability analysis.
4. Risk Management & Compliance:
o Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks related to real estate investments, including market risks and liquidity risks.
o Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements, including corporate governance, statutory reporting, and financial disclosures.
5. Leadership & Team Management:
o Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
o Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of finance staff to support the company’s objectives.
o Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and partners.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) and professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CFA) are preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role, within real estate investment or a related industry.
Skills:
* Strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and investment analysis, particularly in real estate.
* Knowledge of real estate markets, property valuations, and financing structures.
* Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay: £60,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
