My client is a thriving, well-established IT MSP business with 15 years of experience working with international organizations. They have enjoyed double-digit growth, leading to further expansion in the UK market, covering SMEs to multinational and international businesses. As part of their continued growth, they are expanding their project consulting group and are looking for a **Senior Network Consultant** to join their dynamic team.
Role Overview
As a Senior Network Consultant, you will:
* Be the subject matter expert in networking and network security.
* Work closely with a busy consulting team to deliver project work for both Enterprise and SME clients.
* Operate in various UK data centers, managing both on-premise and cloud environments.
* Contribute to the design and development of network topology and security for both the infrastructure and their clients'.
* Mentor and develop ServiceDesk team members, providing an essential escalation point for complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Engineering: Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network infrastructures.
Customer Support: Provide excellent customer support through an organized ticket management system.
Technical Leadership: Be the escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line teams.
Project Work: Undertake network equipment installations and configurations for high-impact solutions.
Collaboration: Work with the sales and marketing teams to drive customer retention and new client growth.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years in Network Engineering/Consulting roles.
* Strong knowledge of network security, VPNs, converged networks, and broadband technologies.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience with Microsoft domain infrastructure (Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, etc.).
* Proficiency in Office 365 Cloud services (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
* Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and cabling.
* Flexible working hours and participation in an on-call rota.
Desirable Skills:
* Confidence in communicating with third parties and vendors.
* Experience with public cloud deployments (Microsoft Azure/AWS).
* Ability to support and collaborate with service providers.
* Experience in driving network consulting expansion.
