The role is based at Upton Hospital, Fir Tree House, with an opportunity for flexible working hours. We are looking for someone with proven administration experience who will be able to take on administration responsibilities such as manging electronic mail inboxes, making and answering telephone calls with service users, management of referrals, ordering medical and stationery supplies, covering reception and general admin tasks. Main duties of the job To act as the Team Administrator for the Community Paediatricians and act on their behalf within departmental guidelines. To independently provide comprehensive administrative support inclusive of referrals, ECHA requests, booking appointments, internal and external telephone calls, sending out correspondence, filing, updating patient records, discharge, and archiving. To ensure good communications are maintained across the service; being the first point of contact with external agencies/stakeholders/service users/locality. To provide reception cover and administrative support to the medical secretaries and consultants, including booking appointments, sending out correspondence and updating electronic patient records.
