The Role
This is a key position as we enter a vital period of transformation at London Stansted Airport, central to our ambitions to harness the impact of quality data driven decision making, and quality insights to enable our Senior Leaders. Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Lead a team of data analysts to deliver meaningful insights on airport performance.
2. Upskill and drive forward team maturity.
3. Ensure accurate and timely data reporting to operational, project, and executive boards.
4. Enhance the airport’s performance review program through regular data-driven meetings.
5. Provide actionable recommendations to operational teams based on data insights.
6. Work collaboratively and proactively with operational leaders, understanding the business requirements and practical data uses.
7. Continuous improvement and driving data driven decision making.
8. Identify and develop new data sources to support operational and business performance.
9. Collaborate with the Group Data and Strategic Analytics function to implement data automation strategies.
10. Coordinate data and reporting requirements across the airport.
11. Provide technical support for digitizing activities in line with the central strategy.
12. Ensure alignment of KPIs across the operation to executive level.
13. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends and root causes.
14. Define and implement analysis requirements for critical infrastructure and change programs.
What will make you successful in the role?
In order to successfully meet the demands of this role, you will possess the following:
1. Proven experience in data reporting, analysis, and insights, preferably in an operational or airport environment.
2. A track record of team and individual development.
3. An encouraging and emotionally intelligent approach to team leadership.
4. Experience presenting to and working closely with senior stakeholders with the ability to influence mindset.
5. Experience working within complex and multi-layered organisations.
6. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
7. Experience with data automation and reporting tools.
8. Capable of presenting complex data to various stakeholders at executive level.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
10. Knowledge of performance monitoring systems and techniques.
11. Strategic thinking with the ability to drive transformational change.
