A highly successful and prestigious school in Essex is seeking an ambitious Teacher of Maths – 2nd in Department to join their thriving Mathematics department from ASAP. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Maths looking for leadership responsibilities in a dynamic and well-respected school.
The successful Teacher of Maths will play a key role in supporting the Head of Maths, helping to drive forward standards in the Mathematics department and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across KS3, KS4, and KS5. Key Responsibilities
1. Teach Maths across KS3, KS4, and KS5, delivering engaging and effective lessons
2. Support the Head of Maths in managing the Mathematics department
3. Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring the Maths syllabus remains challenging and inspiring
4. Mentor and support other teachers in the Maths department, sharing best practices
5. Monitor student progress in Maths, using data to identify areas for improvement
6. Take on leadership responsibilities within the Mathematics department and contribute to whole-school initiatives

Requirements
1. A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
2. Proven experience as a Teacher of Maths, ideally with some leadership experience
3. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Maths at KS3, KS4, and KS5
4. A passion for Maths and the ability to inspire both students and colleagues
5. The ability to take on leadership responsibilities within the Maths department
6. The legal right to work in the UK
