Work Pattern between 8.00am and 5pm Monday to Friday to be discussed at interview.
Based across both sites of Ormskirk District General and Southport District General.
We currently have a great new opportunity for a Reception Team Leader to join our team at Mersey West Lancashire Trust, based across Ormskirk and Southport sites.
We are looking for a result-driven, self-motivated Team leader for the Receptionist Team. As Reception Team Leader you will have great communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to work to targets.
You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. This is a busy and demanding role so candidates will need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated and have a flexible approach to their role to ensure the needs of the service are met.
You will supervise the day-to-day activities of the team, build quality relationships, and provide a positive patient experience in line with expectation.

* Be confident in engaging with a variety of people particularly in a high-end setting
* Excellent communication skills both face to face, over the phone and in writing
* Proven ability to make decisions and establish priorities under conflicting demands
* Very organised, a good communicator with a high degree of computer literacy
* The ability to make decisions and use your initiative
Person specification
Qualifications
* Educated to at least GCSE LEVEL with 5 grades at C or above or equivalent experience
* NVQ Level 4 in administration or relevant other subject or equivalent level of knowledge
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge
* Good Knowledge of the Patient Administrative system
* Previous supervisor and administration and organisational experience
* 4 years’ experience of working in a health care setting
* Experience in records management or similar environment
* Experience of managing outpatient appointments
Skills
* Good verbal and written communication and telephone skills and clear dictation
Other
* Has a positive attitude to customer care with the Trust
* Ability to remain calm and work effectively in pressure situations
* Ability to work as an effective team member
