Your Role:
The manufacturing engineer is responsible for technical conformity of all products, providing technical documentation, introducing new capabilities while maintaining and developing Methods of Manufacture. Good working knowledge of Document control to include ECR, NDA, DAR, Concession, Data Card, SOP, and quotation processes. Input of BOM's, Routing's, Rework Planning / Changes.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
2. Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
3. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
4. Assures product and process quality by monitoring process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
5. Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs.
6. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
7. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with governing regulations.
8. Identify new technologies to improve current processes and implements to completion.
9. Maintain product and process data base by writing computer programs, entering data.
10. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
11. Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy, and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety, Data Protection and issued Employee Handbook.
Knowledge & Experience - Essential
12. Experience of forming processes
13. Project management skills
14. CAD experience using any software
15. Worked in a manufacturing environment
16. Strong attention to detail
17. Ability to work without supervision
18. Excellent time management skills
19. Exceptional communication and customer service skills
20. Strong organisational skills, with ability to multitask
21. IT literate to intermediate level (Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook)
22. Good knowledge of PFMEA's, DCM's, Control plans, inspection plans, etc.
Knowledge & Experience - Desirable
23. CAD experience in Autodesk Inventor
24. CAM Experience in Edgecam
25. Experience of laser process/ programming
26. Experience of welding complex fabrications
