What you will do…
* Responsible for the day to day Human Resources for the business and act as an advocate for both company and employees.
How you will do it…
* Providing administrative help through the recruitment process, assisting with conducting interviews.
* Processing new starters; compiling contracts and forms, arranging references, ordering uniform; managing process from end to end.
* Preparing induction packs & conducting induction training.
* Monitoring and reporting of sickness and holidays.
* Completing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management information.
* Maintaining the employee information monthly for the company’s pension provider.
* Ensure all job descriptions, person specifications and job information packs are up to date, and regularly reviewed with line managers.
* Manage the electronic and paper based personal files for all staff, in accordance to data protection.
* Process agency driver timesheets and reconcile agency invoices.
* Available to attend meetings with individual departments (possibly upon short notice).
* Any other ad hoc duties.
What do you need to be successful…
* Minimum 1-2 years experience in a HR generalist role.
* CIPD qualification – or currently studying.
* To have held a full driving licence for at least 1 year.
* Working knowledge of UK HR Legislation.
* High levels of attention to detail.
* Diplomatic, good negotiation skills. Tactful, and have the ability to deal with difficult situations.
* Communicate sensitively & effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of computer software, Excel, Powerpoint.
* Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information in a professional and safe manner.
