About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. This role is ideal for a teacher who values the importance of religious and ethical understanding in shaping well-rounded, culturally aware students. Key Responsibilities
* Teaching: Deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5 for candidates with relevant experience.
* Curriculum Development: Work with the RE department to develop a dynamic curriculum that covers a broad range of religions, philosophies, and ethical perspectives.
* Assessment & Feedback: Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
* Encouraging Debate: Foster open discussion and critical thinking, helping students develop respectful, well-informed opinions on ethical and religious issues.
* School Community Contribution: Participate in department meetings, contribute to school initiatives, and share best practices with colleagues.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a related field. You should have experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4, and be able to inspire students with your passion for religious studies, ethics, and philosophy.
