Purpose of the Role
As a Payroll Implementation Consultant, you are responsible for helping our clients in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (Initiate, Define, Build, Validate, Deploy and Adopt). Working on multiple payroll projects alongside the project manager, your responsibilities include:
1. Facilitation of client data gathering, system, and employee configuration of Phase 3’s Brain Payroll Software and our Partner SAGE People Payroll.
2. Managing and setting client expectations.
3. Communicating any risks and issues to both client and project manager.
Contribution to Business Growth & Development:
1. Support the delivery of customer projects and managed services.
2. Develop your knowledge and take opportunities to learn new systems and stay up to date with emerging trends to support our clients.
3. Work alongside the Customer Success Manager to identify areas for growth & up-sell on your project delivery.
4. Ensure prompt identification and communication of any risks or issues to line managers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support/Lead client meetings, discovery workshops, and weekly project calls.
2. Assist/Advise clients to plan for, prepare and cleanse data prior to migration between systems.
3. Configuration of Brain Payroll/SAGE People Payroll to meet client’s business requirements.
4. Full End to End implementation process including Discovery, Data Migration, Parallel Run, Reconciliation.
5. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on all payroll projects.
6. Respond to customer queries and provide technical support during the implementation process.
7. Assist in customer Parallel phase as needed, addressing and resolving issues timely.
8. Engage with multiple projects and clients simultaneously, managing project priorities.
9. Attend internal and external project meetings, providing status updates on progress and project deliverables.
10. Offer advice on configuration options and best practices.
11. Maintain knowledge and awareness across both HR and Payroll functions with a focus on Payroll.
12. Lead discussions on product interfaces and configuration options.
13. Ensure the highest standards of professionalism, service, and accuracy for team and project work.
Essential Requirements
1. CIPP Qualified.
2. 2+ years proven Payroll Implementation configuration experience – Define to Deploy.
3. Ability to understand changes to legislation and their impact on client solutions.
4. Experience with software in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment.
5. Confident ownership of project life-cycles and methods.
6. Contextual awareness of HR and Payroll across multiple sectors.
7. Proven record performing project initiation/scoping sessions.
8. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
9. Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
10. Confident with data migration.
11. Experience in solution design, implementation, UAT, and client training support.
12. Strong communication skills, both verbal and in documentation.
13. Ability to lead and facilitate client workshops and ad-hoc sessions.
14. Strong analytical thinking and openness to learning.
15. Excitement about flexibility, independence, initiative, and knowledge-sharing in your job.
16. Commitment to clients, team, and a Phase 3 role.
17. Willingness to travel if required, although client travel is minimal.
