We are working with a secondary school in Bridgend to find cover supervisors. The role will involve taking pre-planned lessons across the school to support in teacher absence or PPA cover. We are looking for determined and confident individuals who have previous experience either in education or similar roles such as coaching, where they have led groups of pupils.
Specialisms within lessons, e.g., maths or PE, will sometimes be favoured if this specific lesson is needed covering within the school. If you have any previous experience or education to a high level, please let us know. We are also interested in speaking to HLTAs or individuals looking to step up from a TA, where you can take part in our Cover Supervisor training that covers modules such as Behaviour Management to ensure you are comfortable within the classroom.
The successful applicant will be:
* Confident and enthusiastic
* Passionate about teaching and supporting young people
* Able to slot into new environments with ease
* Experienced within relevant fields (coaching, tutoring, lecturing, etc.)
* Comfortable covering a range of subjects using pre-planned work
* Prepared to work on short notice
* Confident using a range of behaviour management techniques in line with schools’ policies
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on Update Service - we can assist with the application process
* Registration to the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
* Safeguarding training - Provided by Teaching Personnel
* Able to provide references from at least the last 24 months
