The role
Are you passionate about Internal Communications? We’re looking for a talented individual to work alongside the Internal Communications Manager to maximise the effectiveness of our internal communications function and play an important role in making sure our colleagues are always informed, connected and feel motivated by our future.
You’ll help us to create a genuinely great place to work through crafting engaging and compelling content and be responsible for the delivery of our communication channels and internal events. Your sound communication expertise will support key stakeholders across the business to share their stories too.
This role is part of People and Strategy where you'll help us to build a culture and brand that people want to be part of.
What you'll achieve
Use storytelling and different formats of communications to provide clear, transparent and compelling communications that ensure colleagues are aligned with our strategy, vision, values and colleague commitments, and that keep our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Create well written, clear and engaging content that is timely and relevant, using Orbit’s internal tone of voice and brand.
Be responsible for the creation and delivery of our internal communication channels, including our intranet content, colleague magazine and newsletter.
Provide guidance, support and communications advice to key business areas and stakeholders across Orbit to ensure their communication needs are met and proactively unearth relevant content.
Support the organisation of and manage the associated communications for business events as required, including our colleague Roadshows and annual colleague awards.
Provide support for our business-wide change and transformation programme, ensuring colleagues feel part of our journey and are clear on our shared vision and ambition.
Work with senior stakeholders to deliver a positive and consistent colleague experience during a period of change.What you'll bring
Essential skills

Ability to manage a wide range of projects and manage own priorities effectively.
Ability to take the initiative and lead on projects.
Educated degree level or relevant professional qualification (CIPR/CIM/NCTJ/NUJ) or equivalent experience.Desirable skills
Familiar with different accessibility formats.
Knowledge and experience of using a variety of different media types - traditional and digital.
