We’re looking for an experienced and customer focused Surveyor to join our team in delivering essential stock condition and energy performance surveys across a range of homes in Yorkshire. In this role, you will provide an agile and flexible front-line service tailored to meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!
What we’re all about
Here at Yorkshire Housing our customers are at the heart of what we do – we call it being customer obsessed. In a nutshell we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for our tenants to have a place they’re proud to call home.
As a Stock Condition Surveyor you’ll play a part in the bigger picture as we work towards the government’s target of all our homes hitting an energy rating of C or above by 2030.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to our Lead Surveyor, you'll be responsible for conducting around 1,000 stock condition surveys and 200 energy performance certificate surveys annually. Your role will involve plenty of travel across the stunning region of Yorkshire, where you'll be the face of Yorkshire Housing, engaging directly with our customers in their homes.
You’ll also be getting up to:
1. Coordinating, scheduling, and communicating with customers to arrange appointments and visits.
2. Managing and delivering survey projects.
3. Providing frontline advice to customers regarding energy efficiency.
4. Identifying, recording and reporting routine repair issues in customers' homes.
5. Responding to data queries and assisting customers with homes monitored by smart technology and environmental sensors.
6. Performing pre, in-progress, and completion inspections for capital works.
Who are we looking for?
The answer is simple - if you are hardworking, driven and ready for a new challenge, we want to hear from you.
The rest would also be great too –
1. Experience of undertaking stock condition surveys.
2. Hold a valid DEA Assessor qualification.
3. Experience of diagnosing and recording HHSRS hazards.
4. Experience of surveying across a wide range of property archetypes.
5. Passion for providing excellent frontline customer services and a customer obsessed mindset.
6. Experience of working in an agile manner, collecting data and using systems in the field.
7. Competent in the use of mobile technology, Microsoft 365 and asset management systems for data collection.
8. Ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines, supporting a one-team approach and being flexible to support other areas of the team when necessary.
9. Hold a valid UK driving license and have full use of a vehicle for work.
What’s in it for you…
This a full-time permanent role with a salary of £41,013 per annum, plus £2,000 car allowance, for a 35 hour week plus 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
