About the Role
The postholder will support and extend the operations management of the Antennas Measurement Laboratory and specifically on aspects and research support required as part of the Electromagnetic Environment Hub (EME Hub). The responsibilities of the role include, but not be limited to, operations management of the specific setups and equipment within the Antenna Measurement Laboratory for both internal (to QMUL) and external users including the EME Hub partners and Dstl. The postholder will also engage with the training and support for the internal and external users of the facilities (academic and research staff, postgraduate students and industrial users).
About You
Candidates must have an Undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or closely related disciplines. You should have experience with conducting technical research support, understanding the experimental processes and approaches of conducting measurements in the Antennas, Electromagnetics and Microwave field and ability to summarise findings and recommendations. You should have knowledge in a wide range of radio frequencies, microwave and antenna measurement techniques and solid knowledge of instrument control applications and automated tests.
