Education Support Worker required on a permanent basis for SEMH school in Barnstaple One of our client SEMH schools in the Barnstaple area of North Devon are looking to appoint an Education Support Worker as soon as possible. This will be on a full time, permanent basis and the successful candidate will be salaried directly through the school. Role: Education Support Worker Location: Barnstaple, North Devon Start: ASAP Contract: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £24,420 per annum The school is a small independent special school located in the Roundswell area of Barnstaple, with class sizes of roughly 2 to 5 pupils. They are looking to appoint an individual who has experience working with SEN/SEMH children within an educational setting. Please note that sponsorship is unavailable for this position and a driving licence is essential. Responsibilities: Provide individual support and supervision for pupils, encouraging their engagement in the learning process, working towards agreed aims and objectives. Plan and deliver parts of the learning or intervention programme for the young people. Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils as part of a professional team contributing towards meeting the academic, social, behavioural and emotional needs of young people.
