Job Opportunity: Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at Heathrow Airport. Working within our Small Works and Facilities team, this is a varied and hands-on role carrying out maintenance, repairs, and minor installations across terminal buildings and critical infrastructure areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems (DX units, split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, etc.)
Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Support minor installation and upgrade works across terminals and plant rooms
Monitor and maintain critical HVAC systems in compliance with industry regulations
Accurately complete service reports, logbooks, and maintenance records
Adhere strictly to health & safety and airport security protocols at all times
Liaise with supervisors, clients, and other trades to deliver works smoothly and effectively
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent
F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical fault-finding
Previous experience in a commercial or industrial environment (airport experience beneficial)
CSCS/ECS card
Full UK driving licence preferred
Must be eligible for Heathrow security clearance (clean criminal record and right to work in the UK)
What We Offer:
18 – 26PH – core 40-hour week – 7.45 – 4.30.
Position is fluid and as hourly paid salary moves in accordance with hours worked, no restrictions on hours / overtime
