Our client is an established electrical and security contractor based in Dartford, Kent, providing high-quality services across London and the Southeast of England. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering excellence in every project.
We are looking for a highly skilled and qualified Electrician ideally with supervisor experience in domestic, social housing and commercial environments to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems in accordance with industry standards. Candidate will also be asked to carry out supervisory duties as the company and team grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in domestic and commercial environments.
2. Conduct inspection and testing for condition reporting of electrical installations.
3. Ensure all work complies with current wiring regulations (BS 7671).
4. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely.
5. Liaise with clients and contractors to provide high-quality service and meet project deadlines.
6. Ensure all relevant field management software and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation or equivalent
2. BS 7671 Wiring Regulations 18th Edition qualification
3. Level 3 Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent)
4. ECS Gold Card
5. SSSTS Qualification (preferred but not essential)
Skills & Experience
1. Experience working in domestic and commercial environments, with the ability to handle a wide range of electrical tasks, including power distribution, lighting, and consumer unit upgrades.
2. Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, including safe working practices in electrical environments.
3. Expertise in identifying and diagnosing electrical faults, troubleshooting, and implementing effective solutions.
4. Ability to read and interpret on site guidance notes.
5. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and colleagues.
6. A meticulous approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
7. Skilled in using technology and electronic devices for documentation and communication purposes.
8. Experience in using electrical certification software and familiar with all British standards certification.
9. Willingness to adapt to different environments and challenges, whether working on residential projects or larger commercial sites.
10. A professional approach when dealing with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met to a high standard.
Areas of Work
Candidate will be working on behalf of a main contractor who look after social housing properties in London and the South East.
