We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill this administrative role within the Pharmacy Department. You will join and become a valued member of our NHS Highland Pharmacy Homecare team to support the everyday running and ongoing growth of the service. The service has grown significantly in the last two years.
Homecare Medicines Services are supplied by third parties but managed by the NHS to deliver ongoing supplies of complex therapies and high-cost drugs direct to patients' homes along with ancillary services such as nurse support, equipment rental, and waste collection. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to ensure the smooth running of this service.
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills along with good time management skills. Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement environment is desirable but not essential.
As part of the team, you will communicate with the medical secretaries, the NHS Highland finance team, a number of different homecare providers, and occasionally patients. You will be responsible for the timely preparation and processing of prescriptions for the different clinical teams, processing invoices, and providing assistance with solving invoicing queries and liaising with the different homecare providers for prescription enquiries.
