The Role
An experienced Project Controls Manager is required to manage a team to deliver all aspects of Cost, Planning, Estimating and Document Control Activities in support of the Programme Manager. The role holder will be responsible for leading a Project Controls Team in support of PPP delivery (Major Projects / Site Wide Project Delivery Improvements / PPP Services).
Key Accountabilities
1. Responsible for ensuring that all cost and schedule reporting is aligned to the Contract and commensurate with Contractual Obligations.
2. Responsible for ensuring that Contract specific project control procedures are developed and implemented.
3. Ensuring that project objectives are fully understood by the Project Controls Team highlighting schedule and cost management requirements.
4. Responsible for preparing resource profiles and resource managing the project control team including the management of recruitment, mobilisation and demobilisation requirements.
5. Monitors both schedule and cost reports and relating conclusions such that management control action is alerted in a timely manner.
6. Responsible for holding regular progress and coordination meetings with project control staff across the PPP project.
The Ideal Person
To be successful you will need to have experience and extensive work history of managing project control & programme delivery on large complex construction projects. You will need to have a strong understanding of the NEC3 ECC suite of contracts. The scale and complexity of our projects mean that you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders so it’s important that you have excellent communication skills.
It’s also key that you have good leadership skills and are able to develop a high performing team. Educated to degree level or above and hold a project control/management qualification such as APM. Experience of working in Nuclear or a highly regulated environment is nice to have but if you are new to the industry and have the relevant skills and experience then we would love to hear from you.
