Software Developer - Kendal - Hybrid - £45K DOE
You will work with the team to build function rich applications, which build on our solid reputation for developing slick, well-designed software and applications. The position requires flexibility, reliability, and along with problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a busy environment under pressure. There will be a high degree of autonomy and self-management expected. The successful candidate will report to the Developing Projects Project Manager.
There is a hybrid WFH policy which allows for WFH 2 days per week; you are expected to be office-based for the remaining 3. This policy will only apply once a successful probationary period is completed and only then if the candidate is able to fulfil their role. Some flexibility around these days is expected.
Required Skills:
1. Experience level 3+ years.
2. Progressive Web App (PWA) skills.
3. .Net development skills using C#.
4. UI development using MVC and Web Forms.
5. Knowledge of API design and development.
6. Knowledge of database development techniques.
7. Knowledge of OOP best practice and design principles.
8. Knowledge of source control packages such as DevOps, Git or Team Foundation.
9. Knowledge of writing unit tests and other forms of testing.
10. SQL (DDL, DQL and DML).
Desirable Skills:
1. Azure
2. CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
3. Knowledge of Entity Framework Core.
4. Knowledge of Web Servers (IIS) and Windows Server.
5. Knowledge of DevExpress components.
6. Android Studio development skills using Java or Kotlin.
7. SQL Lite and ROOM database.
8. Knowledge of Android best practice and design principles.
9. Knowledge of deploying Apps to Google Managed Play Store, Microsoft InTune.
