Ayming’s grants team write engaging and rigorous applications that win funding for their client’s critical projects. As a Grants Consultant, you will play a leading role in writing grant funding applications for our clients. This will involve co-ordinating client meetings to gather necessary information and converting that information into a project proposal customised to suit specific funder criteria. You’ll also be expected to maintain excellent client relationships across a portfolio of cases.

Experience and Requirements
Essential:
* STEM-related bachelor, MSc/PhD graduate is preferable.
* At least 2 years professional experience in grant writing, consulting, or in industry.
Though not essential, prior experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial:
* Engineering: project lifecycle stages such as feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED or EPC.
* Sustainability consulting: lifecycle assessments, quantitative analysis.
* Finance: financial data (e.g. balance sheet) and investment analysis (e.g. discounted cash flow).
* Research: in industry (R&D) or academic (MSc/PhD) environment.
Responsibilities
* Client facing: Interviewing client leads to identify projects that are relevant for capital and R&D grant funding.
* Grant report and application management:
o Using clear, compelling language to convince a reader about the quality of an innovation.
o Explaining technical aspects of a project and explaining its difference from existing approaches.
o Presenting project plans and risk registers with rigour and detail.
o Grasping the client’s business model, including market valuations, pricing models and investment cases.
* Research and analysis: Scouting new grants opportunities and interpreting their fit in relation to defined client priorities.
Skills and personal qualities
* Strong communicator: Good verbal communication skills and strong ability to write clearly on complex topics.
* Dependable: Attention to detail, high-quality output, adhering to deadlines, and collaboration among team members on projects and rationales.
* Critical thinker: Ability to grasp technical challenges in the industry, understand processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
