Teaching Personnel, in collaboration with a diverse mainstream secondary school in Coventry, are seeking a passionate and motivated teacher of food technology to embark upon a new full time position in January.
The ideal candidate will hold a UK QTS, have experience delivering food technology lessons and be able to commit to a full time opportunity.
The school has been working closely with Teaching Personnel for quite some time, and like any school, it comes with challenges, however, a current teacher working in the school through us has described it as
a fulfilling position in an environment in which I am thriving in. I am being the best possible teacher I can be.
Hours: Full Time
Pay: To Scale

Qualifications:
- QTS (qualified teacher status in Food Tech/DT) or equivalent, relevant qualification
- Degree in DT/ Food Tech
- Ability to teach engaging food technology lessons as well as cover across the DT department where necessary
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Proven track record and excellent school based references
- Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills
About the Role:
- Deliver dynamic and engaging food technology lessons to a range of ages, abilities and learning styles
- Encourage active participation and promote independence within the kitchen
- Ensure health and safety protocols are at the centre of your practice
- Promote a positive learning environment ensuring safeguarding principles are adhered to
- Assess pupil progress and provide informative feedback to help their learning and experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues within the DT department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
