Can you spare 8 hours per week on a weekend and 16 hours during School holidays (which will be a combination of weekday & weekend)?
Car driver is essential. You will need to have business cover included on your insurance policy.
Meet Hari
I am a happy and energetic 10-year-old boy with Autism. I enjoy being outdoors, playing in the park, and I like sensory things like sand, mud, play-doh, and flour.
I am a fussy eater but I do like to go to McDonald's as I like chicken nuggets. I also like eating at KFC.
You will:
1. Support Hari when out in the community with accessing all the activities he enjoys.
2. Discuss other activity ideas with his parents to broaden Hari’s experiences.
3. Support Hari when out and about and always hold his hand near roads and cars to ensure his safety.
4. Change Hari’s nappy as and when required (nappies and wipes will be provided).
5. Apply Hari’s eczema cream as and when required.
6. Duties may vary from day to day.

What can you expect to receive:
1. You will be supported by Gurdit and Dhiraji (mum & dad) in getting to know Hari before taking him out into the community alone.
2. You will get to spend time with a lovely boy who loves life.
3. Further training can be provided.
Hours:
1. 4 hours on a Saturday and 4 hours on a Sunday, with an additional 8 hours during the school holidays.
2. Someone who is flexible with their time and who can commit to working during the weekend and school holidays.
3. Hours and times can be agreed upon starting.
Skills, qualifications and experience:
Essential:
1. Some understanding of children with Autism and additional needs.
2. Someone who can drive.
3. Good mobility themselves and who is able to run around and be active.
4. Ability to support Hari if he is dysregulated.
5. Resilience and commitment.
6. Good communicator.
The person we employ will have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for our privacy. Hari’s personal assistant will be employed, directed by, and accountable to his parents in all aspects.
Rate of pay:
£12.40 per hour (gross) at all times.
