Post 16 Learning Support Assistant

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Empowering learners: Work in small groups and one-to-one with Post 16 students, guiding them in building essential life skills such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and self-reliance.
* Creating a positive impact: Help unlock the potential in students with Autism and additional learning needs, helping them become confident and independent individuals.
* Collaborative teamwork: Be part of a friendly and passionate team where everyone is committed to creating a nurturing, positive learning environment.
* Ensuring student well-being: Play a key role in safeguarding students, ensuring they feel supported, safe, and ready to thrive in their educational journey.

The Ideal Candidate:
* You are driven by a passion for supporting young people and believe in their ability to achieve great things.
* You have experience working with individuals with SEND, particularly those with Autism and other social, emotional and communication needs.
* You hold a degree, TA qualification, or equivalent experience in SEND, and have a solid understanding of the challenges and rewards that come with it.
* You thrive in a collaborative team environment, bring positivity to everything you do, and are committed to making each day a meaningful one for learners.
Logistics:
8.30 – 3.30 Monday to Friday. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
