Jobs / Part-Time Year 3 Teacher – Thursdays & Fridays – Seaford
Position: Teacher
Contract type: Temp/Contract
School type: Primary
School: Catholic Primary School
Area: Seaford, East Sussex
Some teachers love the security of regular work but don’t want to be bogged down in endless paperwork, planning, and meetings. Sound familiar?
This two-day-a-week teaching role in a small, happy Catholic primary school in Seaford could be perfect for you.
The Job
You’ll be teaching Year 3 every Thursday and Friday until Easter. The planning is done for you, but you’ll need to mark work and leave quality feedback for the class teacher. In return, you’ll get a well-behaved class full of kids who listen, work hard, and take pride in what they do.
The School
It’s a one-form entry primary with an excellent reputation and a strong community feel. They’re part of a successful Multi-Academy Trust, meaning they’ve got the resources and support to make teaching enjoyable.
Ofsted says the pupils have outstanding behaviour and positive relationships with their teachers. That means you can focus on actually teaching, rather than crowd control.
The school follows Catholic values, but you don’t have to be Catholic to work there—just someone who respects their ethos and enjoys working in a school where children feel "known and loved".
What We’re Looking For
* QTS and recent lower KS2 experience (ideally in Year 3 or 4).
* High expectations – You want kids to succeed and hold them to a high standard.
* Good communicator – You can take direction from the class teacher and ensure learning stays consistent across the week.
* Reliable and flexible – You’ll be part of the school team for two fixed days a week, so they need someone who turns up and gets stuck in.
What’s in It for You?
* Regular, predictable work – Thursdays and Fridays, no last-minute calls.
* No planning required – Just mark and leave feedback.
* A genuinely nice place to teach – Great kids, supportive staff, and a strong school community.
* Perfect for supply teachers who want the consistency of long-term work without the full class teacher workload.
