Resonance is a social impact investment fund manager that is transforming the relationship between private investment and social good, and to help us, we are looking for a qualified Solicitor/Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive to join our growing, friendly team.
You will benefit from a competitive salary and hybrid working. Our property team is based in Manchester - the role will be based here or our London hub (London weighting available).
As part of the team, you will help us to challenge homelessness across the UK by playing a key role in ensuring the property fund team reach our aim to purchase and lease 5,000 homes for people who need a safe and secure place to live by 2030.

You'll be working across the business, reporting to the Fund Manager, Head of Homelessness Property Funds, with multiple tasks. This key role is important to our future success.

We are looking for someone to help manage our property purchase and leasing processes. In this role, you will work closely with our panel of external conveyancers to ensure property details are reported smoothly and on time. You will maintain track of properties as they move through the conveyancing process, manage relationships with our external conveyancers, and assist with all aspects of leasing and sales, eg: preparing leases and sending notices.
HERES WHAT YOULL DO FOR US RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the external providers of conveyancing and leasing advice to our homelessness property funds.
* Share your knowledge and advise our internal teams on standard conveyancing and landlord and tenant property matters, this should include residential acquisitions, sales, leasing issues, title checks, SDLT returns and Land Registry requirements.
* Liaise with external legal sources to obtain legal advice on complex issues.
* Prepare legal sales pack for property disposals.
* Ensure that conveyancing and leasing processes are accurate and effective.
* Attend Fund Investment committee meetings as and when required.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, guidelines and regulations of the regulatory body eg: Solicitors Regulatory Authority, Council of Licensed Conveyancers or the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (as appropriate).
* Identify any problems that arise at any stage of the process and be proactive in finding solutions.
* Maintain your registration with the relevant regulatory body and ensure continued professional development training and record keeping obligations.
* Undertake duties as requested by line manager.

* Competent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and web-based tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, and you should also be comfortable in learning new tools quickly.

* Outstanding levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
* A self-starter, you should be able to plan and prioritise your own work.
* You will need to thrive within a small but expanding team.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
* Experience working with housing associations, property management companies, local authorities or property developers.
* Experience working with Salesforce.
