Job Profile
Managing our estate, including our housing and leasehold blocks, and delivering successful estate and stewardship services requires an attention to detail and focus on delivering a high-quality service. Recognising the heritage of our estate is important to us and our customers, so working with residents to maintain where they live is key. Being responsive and proactive in finding solutions to the day-to-day challenges that this might pose is essential.
As the Estate Caretaker Manager, you will be working and learning in a fast-paced environment, that will expose you to a diverse range of activities that will advance your experience, skills and develop your career. You will be part of a team responsible for the management of our Birmingham estate, including building safety compliance in our tenanted and leasehold blocks, monitoring service delivery providers' performance, management of a team of estate caretakers, estate and block inspections, and ensuring compliance with the Scheme of Management. This role will see you create successful partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including colleagues across BVT. As a key member of the Estates and Stewardship Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a highly regarded service with the opportunity to shape these services and continue the legacy of one of the country’s longest established stewardship models.
Candidate Profile
* To lead, manage and develop the Estate Caretaking Service across the Birmingham estates, ensuring the places where residents live are clean, green and safe. To support the delivery of building safety compliance in our tenanted and leasehold blocks and excellent estate management services.
* Responsible for providing high-quality estate management services, including building safety compliance and monitoring contracted services, across the Birmingham estates public open spaces and blocks within BVT’s freehold, housing and leasehold portfolio.
* Engaging with internal and external partners such as Neighbourhood Services and Communities, Grounds Maintenance, Assets, Repairs and Maintenance, external contractors and Local Authority departments.
* Work collaboratively across BVT and with external partners to ensure delivery of BVT’s Corporate Plan, legislative and regulatory compliance.
