Job Description
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 5 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school team near Sutton Scotney, Winchester. This full-time role involves providing individualised support to a child with special educational needs, focusing on their learning and development. The child does not exhibit physical behaviours and responds positively to calm, confident, and supportive staff.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Year 5.

o Assist in the child's learning and development, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
o Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the child's needs.
o Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
o Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the child's progress.
o Maintain accurate records of the child's development and progress.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN
* To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

o Hold right to work in the UK
o Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
o Provide references upon request
o Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
