Support the Accountants with the monthly accounting for EUCAN legal entities (including compliance with SOX controls) and in line with company deadlines. Support in resolving any variances that arise on a timely basis. Support all EUCAN external and internal audits and statutory reporting requirements. Ad-hoc project work as required by the Associate Director of Controlling – EUCAN, or Financial Director – EUCAN. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The role encompasses several key responsibilities, including but not limited to : Month End: Assist in preparation of monthly accruals. Assist in monthly review meetings with Finance Managers to review regional results. Audits Provide transactional support for external audits (Annual) Support internal audits with internal indivior team. Balance sheet Quarterly balance sheet reconciliations to be prepared and reviewed with regional Finance Managers to ensure balances are as expected. ERP SAP User Build and maintain effective relationships within the company at local and international levels to gain support and exchange of essential business information. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: The role requires a 2 nd year student studying a degree in Finance/Accountancy/Business or similar discipline who is looking to gain financial accounting experience in a placement year. They should be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn. Financial accounting knowledge (Accounting principles and adherence to SOX controls environment. Experience: Any accounting experience would be beneficial. Candidate should have some business/work experience that has focussed on customer interaction.
