Role Overview
I am currently seeking an Injection Moulding Engineer to join a leading company in the manufacturing sector, based in the Waterford area. As an Injection Moulding Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation, playing a pivotal role in the process introduction of new tools, ensuring seamless transitions from design to full-scale production.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Injection Moulding Engineer will be varied, however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Conduct tool trials at toolmakers and in-house, including tool set-up, qualification runs, and handover to production.
2. Assist in the design and debugging of new systems, tooling, and automation, as well as the development and implementation of maintenance programs for moulding and ancillary equipment.
3. Complete IQ, OQ, PQ validation reports and perform designed experiments to enhance processes, improve yields, and increase utilisation.
4. Serve as the front line liaison with customers, suppliers, and toolmakers, and be responsible for the Moulding Process Systems, including process control and deviation management.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this engaging role as the Injection Moulding Engineer, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. A relevant degree in Polymer or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Proven industry experience in a high-volume moulding environment.
3. Familiarity with process set-up and validation, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and process window studies.
4. Experience working within a GMP environment.
