We are looking for a Leisure General Manager to join our fantastic team here at WCF Ltd. This is a newly created role due to the growth and expansion of our leisure division.
Role Overview:
Demonstrating engaging and motivational leadership, you will support our On-Site Managers and campsite teams across our three 5-Star sites, ensuring all our visiting guests have an unforgettable stay that exceeds their expectations.
Curiosity is key for this role, and you will be motivated and driven to always look for better ways to work or promote the sites to a wider audience as well as ensuring we are at the forefront of innovation and good practice within the industry.
Working with our marketing team, you will ensure that our website, third-party listings, emails, guest app and social media posts showcase our sites, guest experience, local events, and attractions to provide our guests with numerous reasons to book.
Understanding our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and financial drivers is paramount to maximise occupancies and to take appropriate actions regarding pricing and promotions.
You will work with our centralised Estates and Facilities and Health & Safety teams and on-site maintenance to preserve our 5-star status and ensure our sites are operating safely.
Location & Travel:
This role will be based at our campsite at Herding Hill Farm, Northumberland. Live-in accommodation is available or, if not, the successful candidate needs to live within commuting distance from the site in case of emergency cover. Some weekend and overnight on call work may be required to cover holidays or staff absences.
Regular travel to visit our other sites will be required and there may be ad hoc requirements to support the team to stay over to cover staff holidays or sickness if resource cannot be allocated locally.

* Previous operational and collaborative leadership experience in a similar campsite or holiday park role
* Demonstrative experience of delivering exceptional guest experience
* An ability to build strong and effective relationships with guests, colleagues, local community business leaders, and service-providers
* Demonstrates enthusiasm, passion and curiosity for the leisure industry, always looking to improve our guest offering and site facilities
* Demonstrative ability to handle multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
* Able to show initiative and proactivity in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrate motivational leadership and champion the development of our site colleagues
* Comfortable to travel to our other 2 locations in Scotland and the Peak District and to new sites acquired
* Proven track record of achieving key performance targets and budget control
* Good knowledge of utilising social media platforms for marketing and brand awareness
* Experience managing health and safety processes and site security
* Good computer skills including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Outlook etc.)
