IT Support Technician - Gloucester - £24,000 to £30,000 pa
Acorn by Synergie is looking for a highly motivated IT Technician to join the existing IT Team within a fast-paced environment. The person will form an important and integral part of an expanding business.
This is a 37 hour a week job, based at the Gloucester office. Mon-Thurs 08.30-5pm, Fri (phone number removed)pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
All applicants must be eligible for UKSC & NPPV3 clearances.

Activity:
1. After training - be the first point of contact for technical issues, managing troubleshooting efforts and ensuring fast solutions.
2. Managing Onboarding & Offboarding by facilitating a seamless IT setup for new starters and handling the offboarding processes.
3. Support employees with technology issues, hardware & software upgrades & office equipment replacement.
4. Maintain IT documentation - track tasks through a ticketing system and develop internal user guides & troubleshooting documents and keep updated.
5. Collaborate in additional projects and tasks as directed by the IT Manager.
6. Contribute to smooth daily operations.
Expectation:
1. Solid IT skills & knowledge of necessary software including MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
2. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
3. Ability to remain calm and logical when troubleshooting technical challenges.
4. Passionate about learning new skills and embracing changing priorities.
5. Ability to manage time efficiently & anticipate potential issues before they arise.
6. Understanding of Windows operating systems.
7. Ability to resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime after training.
8. Ability to lift & carry equipment (e.g. Switch & server installs).
9. Understanding or knowledge of ENTRA/InTune.
Desirable:
1. Familiarity with network fundamentals.
2. Knowledge of permissions management & administration along with Active Directory.
3. Knowledge of servers preferred.
Compensation:
1. Basic salary £24-£30 per annum depending on applicant experience.
2. 20 days Annual leave (and 8 Bank Holidays) plus one day Birthday Leave.
3. Pension scheme enrolment once completed 3 months employment.
4. 6-month probation period.
