Water Treatment Operator - Argyll Mainland

As a Water Operative working in and around Ardrishaig, you’ll be on the front lines of making sure Scotland’s water is totally, dependably pure.
What you’ll do
You’ll join an experienced team that helps to monitor and maintain the quality of water at our treatment works and pumping stations.
* Calibrate monitors, filters, tank levels, and more.
* Record water quality metrics including pH, chlorine, aluminium, and phosphate.
* Conduct regular inspections of plants, reservoirs, and dams.
* Handle risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
* Participate in the standby rota for out-of-hours cover.
What you’ll bring
* Strong communication skills and confidence working independently.
* Attention to detail to prevent inaccuracies in recordings and health and safety failures.
* Ability to identify trends and solve problems proactively.
* A valid driving licence.
* Knowledge of water treatment processes and distribution systems is beneficial, but not essential.
* Mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.

Additional Information
This role will be a Grade 4 with a starting salary of £27,590, progressing to a maximum of £32,410 based on performance.
