Your new role
Reporting to the IT Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing IT support across the college, supporting both students and staff on a daily basis, ensuring a high level of service and support is provided at all times. As an IT Technician, you will respond to incoming service requests and incidents from end users, ensuring these are resolved in a timely manner and reviewed in order to reduce the risk of repeat incidents. These IT incidents could relate to hardware, software, bespoke systems and technologies in the education sector and also support with security incidents. From a software perspective, this will involve the installing and upgrading of software, as well as working with end users around the use of the software, and you will also liaise with third party providers.
