Site Supervisor
Location: Brixworth
Pay Rate: £280 - £320 per day (Umbrella PAYE)
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the Health and Safety of yourself, the workforce and the public in accordance with SHE processes and procedures.
Managing and administering the construction works in accordance with the contract
Assisting with the implementation of the duties of the Principal Contractor under CDM.
Assisting with the implementation and ongoing compliance of the Construction Phase including inductions, and site rules.
Prestart checks. This includes checking and documenting all PUWER and LOLER items, welfare is adequate and fit for purpose, spill kits are present etc.
Assisting with the implementation and ongoing compliance of all relevant Risk Assessments (to cover every task on site), Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work and Point of Work Risk Assessment/Daily Brief documents.
Issuing various permits for activities such as hot works and digging for various contractors in accordance with processes and safe digging procedure.
Ensuring temporary works are installed in accordance with the approved design details.
Carrying out regular Health and Safety inspections, reporting all accidents, near misses and briefing of toolbox talks.
Monitoring and recording of progress on site and communicating any issues to the relevant site managers in terms of programme and change control in accordance with the terms of the contract.
Good record keeping in terms of manpower, plant and materials.
Ensuring that any changes either commercial or operational are affectively communicated to all relevant parties, signed off and briefed to the site team in line with the change control procedure.
Inspect quality of work in accordance the inspection test plan, scheme designs and the specification
Requirements:
SSSTS (CITB Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Trainings Scheme)
NRSWA Supervisor

Temporary Works Supervisor
First Aider
Driving licence (clean)
Skills:
Experience managing both direct employees and civil engineering contractors.
IT literate - MS office and order management databases
Excellent leadership qualities
Excellent communication skills both with the public, client and employees
'People skills' experience in people management and motivation of staff
Proven ability to instruct and direct staff
A good organiser, both of self and others
Self-motivated
Knowledge:
Understanding and implementation the Construction (Design Management) CDM regulations
Chapter 8 Traffic Signs Manual.
Material specifications
Good civils, resurfacing and structures experience
Good working knowledge of construction programming
Commercial awareness
Understanding of NEC4 contract
