What You’ll Be Doing We are currently looking for a Project Support Officer within our Adult Social Care Transformation Team on a 6 month fixed term basis. This is an important role to provide support to the successful delivery of a number of change projects in the Adult Social Care Transformation Programme. You will collaborate with a small team of project managers to plan and support the delivery of diverse and complex adult social care transformation projects, ensuring they are effectively managed, monitored, and reported. The role may evolve to include ownership of specific workstreams or management of low-risk projects under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager or Programme Lead. Building and maintaining strong relationships across the organisation, with partner organisations, customers, and the wider Adult Social Care Project Management Team, is essential, as is engaging with senior officers, Members, and the Strategy and Governance family. You will also provide advice, influence, and support to senior officers and Members on various projects and initiatives. All About You To be successful in this role, we’re looking for an excellent candidate with a solid understanding of local government and project management, including the project cycle and tools, to support key Adult Social Care (ASC) initiatives like Learning & Development, Workforce Strategy, and co-production groups. You’ll be a confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders of all levels on complex and sometimes sensitive matters. With experience supporting change and managing a demanding workload across multiple projects, you’ll have excellent information processing skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in presenting data effectively. You’ll coordinate engagement activities with ASC staff, residents, voluntary organisations, and health and care partners, demonstrating a strong work ethic, team spirit, and initiative.
