A market leading engineering business based in Dorset are seeking to recruit a Commercial Director in a newly created role. The role is paying £85,000 - £100,000 (depending on experience) benefits. It is preferred for candidate to be within commuting distance of the Dorset / Somerset area as the role is primarily based in the office with occasional travel to client sites. Working as part of the leadership team and reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for: Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives. Analysis of market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities. Lead efforts to increase revenue through innovative product development, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with the sales team to set realistic performance targets and drive accountability. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. Qualifications and Experience required for the Commercial Director Minimum of 7 years experience in a commercial / business development role, preferably in the manufacturing / engineering sector Proven track record of successfully developing and executing commercial strategies that drive growth. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
