What is the Opportunity?
We have an exciting opportunity to join our London team as a Business Risk Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term secondment / contract. You will provide support to the Management team, assisting in the day day-to-day management of the Business Risk Management function and Framework within the Chief Operating Officer of RBC Wealth Management.
What will you do?
* Support the Operating Event management process and quality assurance for risk events and Issues ensuring the highest standard is achieved every time including being part of wider working groups with Operational Risk.
* Maintain and support the compliance with the Group Risk Management frameworks and associated policies.
* Undertake day to day identification, monitoring, tracking, and escalation of any key risks and issues and controls and where required document risks and controls following the company standard.
* Assist with the management of risks and controls within our Client Facing teams and Investments channels, across various locations, analysing trends to identify potential or actual issues.
* Undertake structured assurance and effectiveness assessments through risk consultancy, risk evaluations, and testing of the CFT/Investments environment.
* Take responsibility as the First Line of Defence for the management of risks, and act as the point of escalation for any risks and issue beyond tolerance.
* Support the development of CFT risk and control reporting framework and continually review its effectiveness. Supporting our business with relevant and meaningful MI for decision making.
* Support the management of risks and controls required for key business change initiatives, undertaken by CFT including to support integration activity.
* Ensure operational activity is executed to deliver excellence in client service, ensuring clients are at the heart of how we operate.
* Assist with initiatives to continually improve Risk and Control activity across CFT.
* Support the CFT and Business Risk Management with all Audit and Assurance activities, keeping Senior Management up to date on all actions and decisions. Facilitating all reviews for our front office colleagues.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
* Proven Risk and Control experience within Financial Services, ideally in Wealth Management.
* Experience of supporting and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to use information to generate creative solutions.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Must have strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-have
* PowerBI experience.
* Front Office (client facing) stakeholder management skills.
* Risk Framework integration and maintenance experience.
