Senior Mold Tool Maintenance Technician - First Shift
This position is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and changeover of the injection molds; and fitting, set up, and startup of new injection molds and components.
Duties:
* Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on mold tools.
* Fitting and assembly of new tools and inserts.
* Perform mold changes and maintenance; and ensure mold tools are ready to meet production schedules.
* Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations.
* Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
* Mentor/Train new hires
* May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills:
* Comprehensive understanding and experience with mold tool construction and maintenance.
* Basic math skills, including knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
* Ability to comprehend and retain technical verbal and written instructions.
Education and Qualifications:
* Must have a high school diploma or GED, associate degree preferred.
* 5-7 years tool making, assembly, and fitting experience.
Physical Demands:
* Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
* Ability to occasionally move objects weighing more than 100 lbs.
* Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis and occasionally climb, stoops, kneels, or crouch.
* Ability to view fine detail, color variation, and depth perception for extended periods.
