We are looking for an experienced biochemist to lead a BBSRC Prosperity Partnership funded project to develop sulfotransferases that have potential to produce industrially important sulphated polysaccharides in the context of decarbonising materials in home and personal care. You will have experience in protein biochemistry, bioinformatics, enzymology, glycobiology, and high throughput robotics.
You should have a PhD degree in biochemistry or a relative subject.
The post is available until 2 February 2027.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
