JOB TITLE: 3rd Line Support Engineer
LOCATION: Swindon
PACKAGE: £35,000 – £45,000
WAY OF WORKING: 5 days onsite - Swindon
THE BUSINESS:
My client is a highly respected service provider with a superb reputation. They are well established and a well renowned family-owned business with an increasing portfolio of projects.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The IT 3rd Line Engineer primary focus will be on supporting my clients Infrastructure and servers, working on specific refresh projects and supporting the technical requirements of the Technology Transformation Programme. Where issues and incidents are complex, you will provide an escalation point and take ownership of technical issues that cannot be resolved by the 2nd Line Support Engineers, often working directly with end suppliers to find and deliver resolutions.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
* Desktop Windows 10 / 11.
* Servers – Windows Server 2016+, Linux (Centos, Ubuntu), Virtual appliances, SQL Server.
* Networking – LAN, vLAN, WAN, Fixed lines, Switches, Routers, IP Telephony, Wireless, DR and network backup (VEEAM).
* Security - Firewalls, VPN, Azure App Proxy, MFA.
* Virtualisation - VMware, SAN, Azure, Remote Desktop.
* Cloud Services – Azure, M365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, InTune), Email, Office and Third Party.
* Active Directory – Hybrid Azure On Prem.
* Disk Encryption and Anti Virus.
* Licensing.
* MDM.
* Monitoring, Patching and Vulnerability Management.
