Working for a UK leading FMCG Food business, as Senior Category Executive, you will be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making, providing actionable insights that shape product offerings and market positioning. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to influence commercial outcomes and ensure our offerings remain competitive in an ever-evolving market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct robust category analysis, producing reports and presentations that drive business decisions.
2. Manage and reconcile data across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
3. Deliver category insights to support range reviews, NPD briefs, and promotional strategies.
4. Develop expertise in data systems (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar) to become the go-to source for shopper and category intelligence.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
About You
We’re looking for a data-savvy professional with a passion for FMCG and a knack for storytelling through numbers. You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel in balancing multiple projects with precision and creativity.
Qualifications
1. Advanced analytical capabilities with a proven track record in category management.
2. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create visually impactful presentations.
3. Experience with retail data platforms such as Dunnhumby, IRI, or Quantium.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
5. A commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
6. Previous experience in the food production or retail sectors.
7. Exposure to data agencies or FMCG environments.
