We are very excited to invite applications for a Band 7 post in our Paediatric Psychological Therapies team.
The Psychological Therapies Team is a unique hospital based psychological service. Having established an excellent reputation over the years, offering treatment for both inpatients and outpatients from a wide range of medical specialities, we are now able to develop the paediatric team further and expand across hospital sites within our Hospital Trust.
Would you like to be an integral part of growing the Paediatric Psychological Therapies Service within a creative and enthusiastic team who prioritise supporting our staff and their development by providing both individual and group supervision as well as regular team discussions?
We are a unique and vibrant hospital-based multidisciplinary team which includes Psychotherapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Art Therapists, Mental Health Liaison staff and Administrators.
The post holder will work across a broad range of paediatric patient groups, such as Neonatal, Type 1 Diabetes and Oncology, working with both inpatients and outpatients and their families. There are also exciting opportunities to work within our specialist Infant Bereavement Service. In addition, the post holder will help support staff through reflective practice.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individuals, who are resilient and flexible and able to meet the challenge of this complex work. We require afully accreditedand qualifiedcandidates who are able to work on their own initiative, as well as in a supportive team with a displayed interest in the link between physical and psychological health. This is a rare opportunity to join and grow our service for the future.
Interview will be in two stages to give candidates a clear idea of the post and for us to experience them in both group and individual settings. The interview details are below:

Please note the role will be based 2 days at Basildon Hospital and 3 days at Southend Hospital
