Job Description:
Role Purpose
Delivering the indirect Procurement strategy for the site, ensuring alignment with Global Procurement, Programme, and site Operational strategies. Managing a team of Operational and Senior buyers to drive supplier excellence in terms of cost, delivery, and quality of the indirect supply chain servicing the site.
Job Responsibilities
1. Accountable for the site indirect purchasing strategy. Working with and influencing Global commodity teams, Programmes, and key site stakeholders.
2. Accountable to deliver Global Commodity initiatives on the site.
3. Accountable for the delivery of site CAPEX projects. Working with key stakeholders across the business to deliver to cost, delivery, and quality requirements.
4. Accountable for devising and delivering cost reduction opportunities/activities linked to site cost reduction targets.
5. Accountable for the flow down of Programme Enabled Customer materials, pricing, and skyline forecasts to suppliers.
6. Accountable for all site supplier contracts and ensuring alignment with the Global Commodity team in terms of contract coverage and negotiations.
7. Accountable for flowing down customer programme requirements into supplier contracts. Ensuring alignment on key Ts & Cs.
8. Accountable for indirect supplier performance in terms of cost, delivery, and quality.
Requirements
1. BSc degree, or equivalent in a Business, Engineering, or Science discipline.
2. Minimum of 10 years relevant business experience.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement Management roles.
4. Previous and significant experience with an international supply base.
5. A demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight into suppliers' processes.
6. A track record of Leadership to work with cross-functional teams.
7. Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and associated technological and commercial trends.
8. Core competencies: Analytical ability, Decisiveness, Customer focus, Consciousness of the environment, Organisation sensitivity, Planning and organisation, Focus on results.
