Overview The Role and Team Our customers are predominantly elderly and rely upon our office teams to take their orders over the phone or via the internet. The role of our Coldstore Operators is critical to the success of our business. Our Coldstore Operators are the heart and soul of the business and are making a real difference to the lives of our customers every day. Accuracy is paramount to ensure Customer orders are 100% You'll need to have the personality and professionalism to help deliver outstanding customer service with a can-do attitude. The confidence and ability to substantially increase sales through great word of mouth recommendations is paramount, together with targeted marketing activity. As such you must genuinely enjoy meeting people and exceeding Customer service standards, and always be willing to go above and beyond what is expected and support continuous improvements. You will need to work as part of the wider team always looking to help and support the office team and drivers, and we encourage movement between teams to provide flexibility, personal development and an understanding of the whole business. The cold store runs at a chilly -20 degrees centigrade but don't worry, protective clothing designed to deal with this temperature will be provided along with breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when necessary. This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender's act, due to our work with the elderly and vulnerable members of society and is subject to an DBS check. The contract specifies a 40-hour working week and daily hours are between 0600 - 1800, Monday to Saturday, along with holiday cover as and when it is required as well. Responsibilities To actively promote WFF Products & Services To record and report all activity on a weekly basis To be an Ambassador for the company in delivering Exceptional Customer Service always To follow all best practice guides to ensure Great Customer service To actively engage in Monthly Appraisals to Promote improved performance To help and support the team where appropriate To report health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues in a timely manner To pick all orders ensuring zero mistakes are made To pre-load all vehicles to ensure timely departure of driving team To Maximize Efficiency in the Freezer To ensure stock check accuracy To support continuous improvements & efficiencies Customer confidentially About you Essential: Evidence of commitment and stability Good attendance and timekeeping Numerate and literate Basic secondary education Full UK Driving Licence (clean) DBS Checked (and willingness to undertake checks) Desirable: Experience within a customer service or care based role Experience of multi-drop delivery role Health & Safety training Personal Qualities: Essential: Wiltshire Farm Foods are keen to promote excellent team work by employing people who have a positive (can do) attitude, who are prepared to learn a number of skills so that they are able to work in various positions within the business.
