As we continue to grow, were seeking an experienced and motivated Electric Motor winder to join our skilled workshop team. The Role As anElectric Motor Winder, you will play a key role in the repair, testing, and refurbishmentof rotational equipment and associated drive components. Youll be hands-on with AC/DC motor assemblies, using your technical expertise to fault-find and resolve issues, while maintaining the highest standards in health, safety, and quality. Key Responsibilities Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassembleAC/DCmotors, gearboxes, andpumps Carry out rewinding of AC/DC motors using recognised strip and rewind methodsRewind AC/DC motors using recognised strip and rewind methods Investigate faults in electrical and mechanical motor/drive systems Complete job cards, time sheets, and documentation to support our ISO Quality Management System Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and suppliers Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices as required Perform workshop duties including cleaning, painting, and organising deliveries/collections Support other departments on an ad hoc basis as business needs arise Essential Criteria Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ L3/ONC/HNC or equivalent) Minimum of 2 years experience in an electrical maintenance/electrical repair role carrying out similar responsibilities Proven knowledge of AC/DC motor repair Understanding of power and rotational equipment, including mechanical drive assemblies Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible approach with the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment Desirable Criteria Knowledge of ISO Management Systems Additional licenses such as Forklift, Overhead Crane, or CSR Card Experience mentoring apprentices or leading small teams Perks & Benefits: Free on-site parking Workplace pension Cycle-to-Work scheme Childcare Vouchers (after 6 months) Private Healthcare Opportunity to work with a forward-thinking, supportive team Interested?
