Job Description
Activities to be carried out as part of the service:
1. Assistance to the team lead/discipline pilot in the technical coordination, production, and monitoring of layout engineering studies for one or more buildings on electrical equipment, including electrical cable trays and other related items such as supports. Overall integration of electrical design into the dedicated buildings.
2. Proposal of technical solutions to improve design maturity.
3. Monitoring and resolution of design Open Points and design non-conformances in the specific discipline.
4. Reception of input data for the layout engineering of the building (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, equipment data, cable list, electrical load list, etc.), analysis, and verification of technical consistency.
5. Production and review of related technical documents (Layout Release Reports, design changes, CTS, design packages).
6. Review and assessment of deliverables produced by electrical execution design such as drawings or 3D design packages.
7. Support and follow-up of execution design activities undertaken by MEH partners as per instructed by the client.
8. Support to resolve queries coming from site-based design teams.
Qualifications
Must have:
* Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
* Good knowledge of the general operation of a nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects (in particular, aspects relating to flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures).
* Hands-on experience in one or several areas of engineering: Electrical Layout, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, safety.
* End-to-end knowledge and understanding of electrical & general layout rules for an industrial project.
* Previous experience working with 3D design software.
Prefer to have:
* Good knowledge of PDMS.
* Navisworks software knowledge.
Additional Information
* Long-term contract.
* Salary/rate - depending on experience.
* Location: Bristol (Onsite).
* 3 days on-site optional 2 days WFH.
* 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
