Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician role is to service all fishing & remedial tools and related equipment.
Service quality, job preparation, planning, and safety are key priorities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Participates in tool-box meetings with all members of the maintenance team.
2. Is always fully compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
3. Maintains all equipment in good, safe working order according to standards and reports any problem or deviation to the Maintenance Supervisor.
4. Understands and produces high-quality products from mechanical drawings provided.
5. Inspects, supports, modifies, assembles, maintains, performs pressure testing, and repairs all mechanical aspects of our equipment including rapid fault finding, evaluation, and diagnosing of problems that occur in an accurate and timely manner.
6. Maintains good housekeeping conditions in the workshop.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum 3 years experience in down hole tools, preferably in Fishing and Remedial equipment.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in operating Break Out Machine (BOM).
3. Must be able to work on their own initiative and read & understand technical drawings.
4. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
5. Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions.
6. Is personally committed to continuous improvement.
7. Listens and is able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
