This shift will be primarily 1st shift but may need to work off shift hours, providing a shift premium.
Summary:
Responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities.

Responsibilities:
* Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
* Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
* Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
* Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
* Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
* Performs cost estimating.
* Troubleshoots equipment.
* Initiates purchase for equipment and maintenance supplies.
* Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.
* Significant management and contractor interactions including design, costing, quoting and executing electrical systems, control systems and automation upgrades.
* Coordination, support and installation of various electrical system projects.
* Provide engineering support for projects designed and built both internally and externally.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Expected to assist in the implementation of the company's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
* Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
* Wear all required personal protective equipment.
* Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
* Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
* Attend all EH&S training.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
* This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
* B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 3 years related experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledge of electrical control systems (prints, VFDs, motors, drives, servos, sensors…)
* Knowledge of 460VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC, 5VDC systems.
* Knowledge of ladder logic software (ProWORX 32, RSLogix, SoMachine).
* Knowledge of robots (Yaskawa Motoman).
* Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar software for designing.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software for design.
* Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Siemens PLCs and drives.
* Knowledge of a variety of Fluke meters.
* Strong interpersonal skills for supervisory of outside contractors and technicians.
