My client is looking to appoint a Site Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis. My client is a regional main contractor who delivers projects across a range of sectors including health, education, industrial, and commercial. This role sits within the Minor Works division, which delivers a wide range of new and refurbishment projects up to £3m in value.
The role of the Site Supervisor is to plan, execute, and deliver the building project. Overseeing the site operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that the projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the quality standards expected.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise all construction and site activities for small projects including the site supervision of workers and subcontractors.
2. Assist the Contracts Managers in the project planning of the work and maintain the progress of the programme of works.
3. Liaise with the Construction/Contracts Manager to ensure adequate labour and subcontract resources are available on the site.
4. Requisition all materials/plant and oversee the deliveries, ensuring they are acquired in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.
5. Handle, store, protect, and inspect all construction materials/plant delivered to site.
6. Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained operatives.
7. Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and that the works are carried out in a safe manner.
8. Quality check work carried out and ensure it meets the standards to the specified requirements of the client and approved codes of practice.
9. Prepare and complete accurate records for site reports and Quality Management Systems.
10. Prepare timesheets for site operatives for authorisation by Construction/Contracts Manager.
11. Prepare necessary reports for the project and attend required site meetings.
12. Liaise with clients, client's agents, architect, engineer, and statutory authorities as required.
Experience, Qualifications and Key Skills
1. SSSTS Certification.
2. CSCS Card.
3. First Aid at Work.
4. Full Driving Licence.

Salary, Hours and Benefits
1. £33,380 per annum payable weekly.
2. 39 hours per week.
3. Mon-Thurs 0800-1630, Fri 0800-1530.
4. Weekly Spot bonus for 39 hours - £40.00.
5. Company Van.
